I have been a Licensed Acupuncturist since July of 1997 and have always practiced in Vancouver, Washington. Prior to being an acupuncturist, I worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer in clinical and collegiate settings, an assistant professor teaching wellness and sciences, and as a wellness consultant to municipalities, colleges and businesses.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine (Central Michigan University, 1984), Master’s of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology (University of Florida, 1987) and a Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, 1997). This particular educational mix and experience makes me uniquely qualified to work successfully on injuries and pain. As a result, I have treated thousands of people seeking care for injuries they received while being a “weekend warrior”, doing household chores, working in jobs or hobbies that have created “over-use” syndromes, as well as collegiate and professional athletics.
My philosophy involves treating you to the best of my ability and getting you feeling better as soon as possible. If I cannot help you within a few treatments, I am happy to refer you to someone I feel might take a different approach or have a varying skill set than what I offer. Our clinic offers a variety of modalities; chiropractic, acupuncture and massage. We often find this combination of therapeutic services is perfectly suited for most musculoskeletal conditions that we treat.
On a lighter note, you should know that I am a friendly and fun-loving person and our staff is competent, fun, warm and caring. Many people say they feel “at home” when they step into our clinic. The vast majority of our patients are referred by other patients, which tells us all we need to know!
